G2E ASIA 2011 CONTINUES WITH SHOW FLOOR OPENING
Sheldon Adelson to be Honored with G2E Asia Visionary AwardMACAU – Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) 2011, the premier gaming exhibition and conference event dedicated to the Asian markets, continues today with the Opening Ceremony and the Keynote Luncheon, during which Sheldon G. Adelson will be honored with the G2E Asia 2011 Visionary Award. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, G2E Asia 2011 runs through tomorrow, June 9, at the Venetian Macao, in Macau S.A.R., People’s Republic of China.

Opening Ceremony
G2E Asia attendees are invited to help kick off this year’s trade show at the Opening Ceremony today from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. in the foyer adjacent to Ballroom Milan.
Trade Show Floor
G2E Asia’s 2011 trade show floor will open today and tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will provide access to the latest products from more than 115 exhibitors hailing from more than 20 countries worldwide. Industry growth areas will be highlighted in specialty areas of the show floor, including the iGaming Pavilion, Security & Surveillance Pavilion and the all new Green & Lightening Pavilion. Keynote Luncheon/G2E Asia 2011 Visionary Award Presentation
Event organizers and industry leaders will honor Sheldon G. Adelson, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Las Vegas Sands Corp., with the 2011 G2E Asia Visionary Award during the Keynote Luncheon today from 12:45 – 2:00 p.m.in Ballroom Milan. Adelson is being honored for his contributions to the gaming industry and his key role in setting the stage for the next phase of gaming in Macau. He also will deliver a short keynote address. Senior and Middle Management Tracks
Today, the conference will divide into two tracks — one for senior management and one for middle management — and will cover operations, gaming technology and marketing with content tailored for each group. Sessions in the Senior Management Track, which will be held in Naples 2705, have been specifically designed for the senior Asian gaming executive and are recommended for operators who are at a level of director or above. The Middle Management Track, to be held in Naples 2703, has been specifically designed for the mid-level Asian gaming executive and is recommended for operators who are at the level of manager or below.
In-Hall Seminar: Game Protection
Join the world-renowned gaming expert Sal Piacente, president of UniverSal Game Protection Development, Inc., for a game protection seminar focusing on baccarat. Piacente will provide on-site game protection training by taking attendees step-by-step through the latest card cheating tricks for baccarat. This session will be held today from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Seminar Room in Hall A & B. Registration is required, and seating is limited.
Welcome Reception and G2E Asia Fifth Anniversary Party
G2E Asia attendees are invited to the Welcome Reception and G2E Asia Fifth Anniversary Party this evening from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Club Cubic, City of Dreams. In-Hall Seminar: Green Lighting & Technology
Timon Rupp, senior director of Asia Pacific marketing and head of solid state consumer lighting for OSRAM, will show how state-of-the-art lighting technology and innovative solutions are setting new standards in the gaming industry. Seminar attendees will learn how different lighting applications can create unique atmospheres for modern casinos and how new lighting can lead to lower electricity costs and less required maintenance. The seminar will be held tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in Seminar Room in Hall A & B.
In-Hall Seminar: Game Protection Continues
Sal Piacente will return on Thursday to provide on-site game protection training by taking attendees step-by-step through the latest card cheating tricks for poker. The poker session will be held tomorrow from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the Seminar Room in Hall A & B. Registration is required, and seating is limited.
Gaming Management Certificate Program
The Gaming Management Certificate program will be held tomorrow in Naples 2705. Sessions are designed to help new casino managers in Asia further their knowledge of current gaming trends in Macau and equip themselves with the tools to succeed in today’s growing and dynamic Asian gaming industry. Produced in partnership with the University of Macau and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Singapore campus, this special offering includes a keynote address from Akiko Takahashi, executive vice president and chief human resources and corporate social responsibility officer at Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd.
