Fiera Milano launches E.TECH Experience
Fiera Milano presents E.TECH Experience, international biennial trade fair for Energy, Electrical Systems and Lighting, whose debut will be from November 16th to 19th, 2011.E.TECH Experience (www.etechexperience.com) was presented today to the press and the companies in the sector, at the Spazio Villa Erba in Cernobbio (Como). Fiera Milano strongly supports this new initiative, realized in cooperation with Federazione ANIE (Italian Federation of the electrotechnical and electronics companies). E. TECH Experience is the exhibition of energy-related products, but even more, of services and solutions related to generating power and bringing it into living and working human spaces, thereby answering the most important challenge of our times: how to live in a sustainable, safe, and efficient way.
“E.TECH Experience, explains the C.E.O. of Fiera Milano Enrico Pazzali, “is an exhibition for the energy sector that shows innovative technology and meets the increasingly sophisticated and complex requirements of its end-users. This new trade fair is Fiera Milano’s answer to the requests of the market that we, and ANIE Strategic Marketing Committee, found out during the design phase of the expo. E.TECH Experience is an event that joins product specialization with the integration of the different sectors in the field. A multi-target exhibition which addresses both the operator interested in a single product and those searching for system solutions.”
“I am sure that this exhibition represents another opportunity for our sector,” adds Guidalberto Guidi, President of Confindustria ANIE. “E.TECH Experience will give added visibility to an important part of the Italian economy, an industrial sector with earnings at 25 billion euros in 2009, and with prospects of medium term growth stronger than the average in the manufacturing area. Our companies are an excellence of Made in Italy”. “We hope - Guidi goes on - that E.TECH Experience will quickly become an important rendez-vous in the Italian trade fair panorama, and will generate important synergies to develop this high potential, high-tech sector. We are convinced that this ambitious event will satisfy the needs of multiple operators, not just those more strictly tied to the production phase, but also those oriented towards the research of the most innovative energy solutions in the field of services.”
Three major merchandising sectors E.TECH Experience is based on three major merchandising sectors: - generation and distribution of electricity (E.TECH Experience Energy); - components and electrical systems (E.TECH Experience Building); - light sources and devices (E.TECH Experience Lighting). Special attention will be reserved to energy production from renewable sources, section of the exhibition realized in collaboration with Enersolar+ e Greenergy.
Specialization and integration The merchandising sectors segmentation will help the visit of the exhibition, allowing each operator to identify immediately the sector and the products of his interest. But specialization must not eliminate the general overall view, which is to be highlighted through the implementation of thematic areas dedicated to solutions in the contexts of use. Examples could be “the intelligent city”, or “the eco-sustainable house”, which cannot be done without the interaction and integration of different products and professional profiles.
A multi-target trade fair E.TECH Experience is conceived as a multi-target event, suitable for every professional in the energy field: above all installers and maintenance people, system engineers and distributors. But also construction companies, engineering and contracting firms, architects, surveyors, large private end users (facility managers, manufacturing industry, communities) and Public administration.
Business and training Workshops organized by exhibiting companies and conferences that will deepen the main themes of the event (energy efficiency and saving, systems safety, sustainability) are designed to increase the interest for E.TECH Experience, making it a unique occasion for information and professional updating.
A 12 months’ programme of conferences and meetings will prepare the debut of the event in November 2011 and will provide the backdrop for its promotion.
“We are relying heavily on this new product.” Enrico Pazzali continues. “It will make us stronger in today’s exceedingly important area of technological exhibitions. And we are particularly proud of two things. The first is that we have conceived the exhibition the market was asking for. We are sure about this point – and this is the second aspect – because our project has been created according to the specific needs of the companies and their Associations, starting from Federazione ANIE, with whom we worked closely. When creating the E.TECH Experience, we made the client the central figure. And the client will continue to be the main player in the communication and promotion phases of the event - which starts today - as well as in the event itself. As never before, E.TECH Experience is designed to be an exhibition that is “tailor-made”, with business opportunities and services designed to satisfy the requests of each single exhibitor and the needs of specific categories of visitors.”
The sector: exports are up after a difficult 2009 Last year the Italian energy and energy-related components industry’s earnings showed a decline in term of total turnover of almost 12%, matching the trend in other manufacturing sectors in Italy due to the economic crisis. According to Federazione ANIE the turnover, for the first time in the last 5 years, stayed below 25 billion euros. This was a consequence of the crisis and also of the resulting low domestic demand and problems in the international market. Signs of weakening demand were more marked for the lighting industry, which decreased by 19% versus the previous year, while the Italian power industry - representing more than 50% of the total segment turnover - declined to a lesser degree. If in 2008 export performance grew by 4%, thanks to traditional markets such as the European Union and the Mediterranean region, in the last year the Italian technology sector showed a decline. In the first quarter of 2010 however, Italian exports recovered. They repositioned themselves in new strategic markets such as the Middle East and the Balkans, which hold a high potential for capital and infrastructure investments (examples being Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, and Saudi Arabia).
This year the lighting industry is recovering particularly well from the global crisis. International demand from traditional trading partners like the United States and the European Union region plays its part, but also from more distant countries like Russia, India and Latin America.
