2012 World of Asphalt and AGG1 shows kick off with strong exhibit space sales
Exhibit space sales successfully kicked off for the 2012 co-located World of Asphalt and AGG1 exhibitions with a "space draw" at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 in late March. The show floor already spans 67,300 net square feet, and space sales are tracking ahead of the record-breaking 2010 event. More than 75 percent of the 2010 final space tally has already been reserved.Exhibit space applications are now being accepted on a first come, first served basis. The 2012 World of Asphalt Show & Conference and AGG1 Aggregates Forum & Expo will be held March 13 - 15, 2012 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The exhibitions are held annually except in CONEXPO-CON/AGG years.
The shows' reputation of offering measurable value and their history as industry-run shows are key factors in continued success, according to exhibit organizers.
"We received very positive feedback about the 2012 shows at the space draw, which was first open to returning exhibitors and then first-timers who had expressed interest," stated Show Director Melissa Magestro. "Exhibitors know the show is a proven way to grow their businesses, and attendees will find the latest product innovations to position themselves for growth."
Exhibit space rates are the same as 2009, and membership in the owner/producer associations provides discounted space rates. A "package plan" of booth-related services, such as material handling, is included at no charge in the space rates.
Exhibitors also have access, at no charge, to a variety of print and electronic marketing tools to help promote their companies' presence at the shows. These include access to pre- and post-show attendee lists. To help make the most of their show experience, exhibitors receive complimentary access to online training sessions.
More than 6,000 industry professionals from the aggregates, asphalt, pavement maintenance and traffic safety sectors participated in the 2010 event. Seeing new products was cited by 96 percent as a reason to attend, and 85 percent said meeting technical experts was their goal. The shows also offer extensive educational programming to meet industry needs.
World of Asphalt is owned by National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) with Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA). AGG1 is owned by NSSGA. AEM produces both shows.
